First, do not buy four chairs together. Buy two sets of two chairs and that is cheaper including shipping. When you buy four chairs, they pack two sets of two chairs together and ship it to you. You just pay a premium for this. Without checking the price I just thought that it will be cheaper to buy four together and placed the order, unfortunately.

The quality of the item is pretty good. All the parts fit together seamlessly. It took me between 45 minutes to an hour to assemble the chairs.

Chairs are nice looking and resemble the picture accurately. They are comfortable and stable. Really easy to assemble and shipped on time. I woudn't say this is a timeless piece of furniture but to get chairs at great price that look like you spent more on them works for me!

"Sturdy, cheap, beautiful", said S. Fink in his excellent review for this set of chairs, (SET OF 4 CHAIRS IN A RICH CAPPUCHINO FINISH, 'NEW'). I NEEDED chairs, as the seemingly wonderful, grey-vinyl uholstered office chairs I had ordered on three separate occasions, had sadly BROKEN on three separate occasions. I HAD to find new chairs -- quick!

I usually like light woods -- this set of chairs comes in a darker, "rich cappuccino finish". I usually like chairs with a "full back" -- especially those that have support in the space between the
bottom of the back of the back of the chair, and the far-end of the seat of the chair. This set of chairs had neither of these specifications -- but they were inexpensive, and, as Mr. Fink said, also sturdy and beautiful. To me they are not exactly beautiful -- but then again, they are not at all ugly either. And the cushion, at least, was in the lighter colour that I prefer for furniture. Armed with Mr. Fink's review, (especially his review title), I bought the chairs....

I was afraid, at first, that he chairs would be too low for me to sit on. But the addition of the (happily, extremely FIRM!), cushions, made the hight just right for me! The chairs were also extremely easy to assemble.

These chairs, once the (again, very easy!!!!) assembly is finished, are delightfully HIGH! The measurements are: from floor to seat, approximately 17"; from top to bottom, approximately 37 1/2"! (Although not recommended, the hight of the chairs, plus their sturdiness, makes them ideal as substitute places to do "barre" excercises for ballet!)

These chairs are, I believe, dining-room chairs. This means that they are slightly narrower than living room chiars are wont to be. However, in today's smallish apartments, smaller-width chairs are welcomed in living rooms as well. These chairs have a slightly trapezoidal shaped seat, whcih is approximately 17" long, and 13" (top) x 15 (bottom) wide.
As they are armless, one's body, whilst seated, need not fit these dimensions exactly. They definitely are handsome enough to use as living-room chairs, and this is where I have put mine.

I would, of course, have preferred them in a lighter-coloured wood, (lighter coloured woods make small rooms seem bigger, and are said to make people feel more relaxed than darker woods), and a suppport for the "small of the back". But these chairs are high enough that the support for the small of the back is almost not missed! If lighter coloured wood is not available, a back cusion, smaller, but in the same colour as the seat cushion, would be a welcome addition.

But I realize that these are only small quibbles for most people, (medium-sized quibbles for me, though.) For a good, solid, easily put-together, fairly good-looking chairs, at a very modest price, this set of four chairs can't be beat!
